Tomorrow by Christopher Rudd
"Witness" exists at the intersection of art and activism and mixes different genres of dance with contemporary circus (namely aerial bungee), and theatricality to put America’s racial landscape into historical context, combat systematically taught racial biases, and imagine hope for a more just and equitable future. Using a team of mostly Black collaborators and dancers, I devise and deliver an impactful Black narrative meant to open a rich dialogue on the challenging issues of race in America in three parts; Yesterday, Today, & Tomorrow.
World premiere of Tomorrow, January, 2024 at Chelsea Factory, 547 West 26th Street, New York.
